The rule that stood out the most to me in this video was the boomerang rule. It said if you do something nice for someone else, it boomerangs back and someone will do something nice for you. I really like that rule because I love helping others out and doing kind deeds, it makes me feel good and others feel good. I also like the rule about not worrying. It said that only 8% of the stuff you worry about comes true. I think that is a very interesting fact.
A kind deed I recently did for someone was when I was walking down the hallway I saw a boy with his hands full trying to open a door. He opened the door and all of his books fell out of his hands. My friend and I went to his side and helped him pick up all of his stuff and then opened the door for him. Something that stood out to me in the quote by Charles Swindoll was the statement, "Life is 10% what happens and 90% how you react." I think that was an interesting idea. There are many things you cannot control in life, but you can control your attitude. If you are in a bad situation but have a positive attitude it could make all the difference. My parents are supportive and caring. They have always been here for me and have been my number one support system. They always make sure my sisters and I are happy and taken care of. They give us everything they can. Whenever I need money for something or a ride they are there for me to help me out. I have many goals I want to achieve. One of my most important goals is to live everyday to the fullest and always keep a positive attitude. Also, it is my goal to be as nice to everyone as I possibly can, always be there for others and try to help everyone as much as I can. A fun goal of mine is to be able to travel, there are so many different places I would love to travel. |
