Taking time to be grateful is an important part of life, and so is expressing that gratitude. Giving back to people who do so much for you and letting them know how much you appreciate them is a wonderful thing. I always make an effort to tell my parents, sisters and friends how grateful I am to have them in my life. They all do so much for me and I could never repay them. Time goes by so fast, it's important to take a step back and realize what you have. Taking time each day to reflect on what you are grateful for, is a great idea.

The results that surprised me the most about this stimulation was how expensive all the bills really are. For my future as an adult, I worry about being able to pay all my bills and being able to create a good lifestyle for myself and family. I will overcome these fears by getting a well paid career and not spending money on useless items. The interview question that was most difficult for me to answer was, "What is my greatest weakness?" It is difficult for many people to share their weaknesses including me. Especially when you are at an interview and want to leave a good impression. Sharing something you do not feel great about is the last thing anyone wants to do. The story I read was Make a Difference, the author is unknown. The story was about a boy on the beach who was throwing a bunch of starfish into the ocean. When a man asked him what he was doing, the boy responded, “The sun is coming up and the tide is going out. If the starfish stay here they will die.” The man then said, “But there are thousands of starfish. How will it make a difference?” The young boy responded, “It made a difference to that one.”Even though the act may be considered very small to others, it made a huge difference to the starfish. One afternoon my sister and I were outside with our neighbors. A few of my neighbors began to gang up on another neighbor. They were throwing an empty water bottle at him and spitting on him. The particular neighbor being picked on was getting annoyed. I nicely told my other neighbors that what they were doing was not very nice and they should stop. They continued to do it and said they were joking. I told them a couple more times that even if they were kidding it was not nice. I also asked them how they would feel if they were the ones being treated like that. Finally they stopped picking on the poor kid. This relates to my article because I made a difference by standing up for the boy. Even if they were kidding, it is not very funny and no one should be treated like that. The character pillar that represents this article would be the giraffe which is fairness. The giraffe always tries to do what is right and has a gentle way of helping others do the same. I will live my life based on this pillar by always trying to do what I know is right. This pillar is important to the world of work, because there may be someone who is asking for your honest opinion on their work and if you do have some revisions for them you should tell them in a gentle way. Appear: come to sight Tide: alternate rising and falling of the sea I would say most people have their cell phone in their hand all the time. Phones have become a big part of every day life for many people. Some people can not live without their phone and have to have it with them at all times. If I had an employer who was always on their phone I would give them a warning asking them to stop. This school year flew by! I can not believe that my first year of high school is pretty much done with. I remember registration like it was last week! First trimester seems like it was just yesterday! It sounds really weird saying I am going to be a Sophomore. I am excited to be a 10th grader though because we won't be the babies of the school anymore. Overall, this school year was good, I kind of wish it was more exciting/ fun but I had great teachers and it is Job qualifications, attitude, communication and appearance is the order of how important I think they are. I think job qualifications is the most important because an employer is not going to hire someone who is not capable of doing the job. Attitude is the second most important because an employer wants a positive, happy, hard worker. Communication is the third most important because communicating with each other is very important. Although appearance is last, it is still important because employers will want someone who dresses well. |
